On the Island...

Justin's brother from another mother, Nate (they literally grew up from birth as best friends) asked Justin if we could help them dress up their kitchen island.

This is what Justin did for them.

(we told them they needed to paint their island black a while ago, it used to be white, so even the black is an improvement from the original before, with their black appliances)

The AMAZING After:   (yes my husband did that!  in just two afternoons, and two because we had to wait for the corbels to arrive, awesome!)

 Nate and Brianne have 4 little girls, so our girls are in heaven every time we go over there.  But the other fun thing about thier house?  They have a bird.  Etta was really worried about holding the bird, apparently he picks on little kids.  But we got these great photos of her holding the him.  You can see the excitement!  I love it!

If you don't hold your hand up the bird will climb up to your shoulder, and that is a little too close for comfort   for Etta.  So she is concentrating really hard to not freak out and keep her hand high.  The best (and cutest) is the next picture where she is holding both hands up out of nerves.
