Sweet sleeper

I just walked into my room and found this on my desk: (for daddy)

We are all holding hands!!!

And then I heard a light breathing...  And found this little present in our bed.

I just love her so much!!

Life around here...

Today has been one of those days.  Etta woke up super early covered in hives.  I thought it was just heat rash..(she get overheated . We have her some allergy medicine and she went back to sleep.

When she woke up she was swollen everywhere her face was all swollen to.  So I made an appointment with the doctor...  The diagnosis?

She has Scarlet Fever.

( strep throat that turned into hives)
Poor girl!

We've just been hanging out at home.  (You can see how swollen she is in these pictures, and this is like 50% better than it was...)

Lydia was walking by Justin and I and she said very solemnly "My heart is burping..."  And put her hand on her chest.

Since that sounded odd and sort of worrisome, we were putting our hand on her chest and asking her a few questions, when she hiccuped.

Heart burping = hiccups

Gotta love a good description!

We were cleaning up the backyard and Justin was raking up some walnuts.

Apparently, there are different sized walnuts, so he called out to me "I have some really big nuts". Okaaaaay??!

So he brought them over to me...

Ha ha...  I am so sorry for sharing this,  I just couldn't help myself.

Sunday, wig day?

I realize I haven't blogged here for well at least a year.  So I downloaded the app to my phone, instead of just sharing on Facebook, I am going to try to post blog updates via my phone, since I take most of my pictures on my phone anyway.

We just got back from Disneyland last night.  It was amazing!  But now, pretty much everyone has a cold, so we had a really relaxed day watching really uplifting movies like Flubber and Charlie and the Chocolate factory ( the good one, the original).

And we had fun playing with this Merida wig...

 And Lydia:

Good times at home!  I will try to share some more from our trip soon!

Cute girls!

Lydia and Etta are so cute and so smart!  I love being around them.

They play SO well together!

Etta started preschool last week!  She is doing so well.  She loves it, she has been actively trying to read everything she can.  This morning when we were reading the scriptures she wanted to read with me, so she repeated everything I said like a little champ!

She is so tender!  This girl, I just wanna squeeze her, when I think about her it just melts my heart!

I love hearing them play outside.  Yesterday I overhear, her saying "Darling, come her... my little darling." To Lydia, they like to take turns being the mom.

Lydia, is SO precocious.  She is busy and growing and SO opinionated!!  (I have no idea where she gets it... uhem)

On Sunday Lydia was laying on the bench with her head in Justin's lap and she grabbed his tie and said "Is this your purple bow?  I love it."  (it was a dark pink tie!)

And this morning she was playing with Kaycie babysitter outside.  She was sitting on the swing and wanted and underdog...(we usually go on the side, so we have jokingly called it a side dog...)  So she was asking Kaycie for a side dog.  It was funny to hear!

Anyway.  I need to do better keeping up with all the funny things they say, but at lest here is something!

I love my girls!  They are such a joy to me!

Here are some pictures from this summer!

Happy Easter Everyone!

Happy Easter!

We’ve had a lovely day so far, church, family dinner, afternoon nap, the apricot tree is blooming and the weather is perfect!  I am SO excited for spring.   I just wanted to wish you and your family a good day.

I got the chance to teach the young women in class today and we had such a great discussion about the atonement.  I feel like I learned a lot.  I am so thankful for the chance to reflect on the Savior’s atonement and resurrection today.  There is nothing like preparing a lesson for youth to get you thinking!

I got the girls dresses and shoes at Walmart.  The dresses were only about $10.00 a piece and I am SO in love with them!  I bought them about 4 weeks ago and saved them for Easter, cuz I just had to! They are so spring like and fun!  And the shoes are just as cute, also from Wally world.

Unfortunately, last week poor little Lydia broke her collar bone.  She has had to have her arm all pinned down, but she has been SUCH a happy baby through it all!  (even though it is also her “thumb sucking hand”)

We had my niece over for half the week so we dyed eggs had our Easter Egg hunt on Friday.

Our Little people updates

Here are a couple of funny little happenings lately, from our two little people.

Lydia was brave at the doctors today for her two year old check-up.

Daddy and Lydia at the Conference Center.
Etta, Lydia and I walked up all the stairs to the top of the water  fall.

The Christus looking down on my little ones.

Etta and Lydia loving all the water features downtown Salt Lake City.

(daddy) Cassity was just about to head out the door, to go to the Young Women activity, when Etta and Lydia came running out of the laundry room with scarfs on saying to mommy, "Okay we are ready for Young Women!".  Then they walked into Lydia's room and said, "Okay we are here!", and started to play.

(daddy) I heard knocking down the hallway and found Lydia behind our bedroom door.  She screamed,  "Let me out!  Open the door!"  I opened the door and she said "Welcome to my house!  So cute and random!

(daddy) Lately you have to start your prayers fast when it is your turn, before Lydia starts praying.  She loves to talk and takes every opportunity to do it.

(mommy)  I was just putting Etta to bed and she said her prayer.  This is what she said in part of it.  And please bless that I can get older tomorrow and I can get baptized and go to Young Women with mommy and that I can get my ears pierced and we can have a good fun day and eat some ice cream and okio  and some tokyo (tapioca)... she went on to talk about having a good day and getting to play!  I LOVE this girl!

They both are so adorable!

Old MacDonalds

Since it is too cold outside for parks, MacDonald's play place has become a regular stop for us to let the girls have some play time.

Today, I am going out with some friends for lunch and I asked Etta if she wanted to come to lunch with me and her answer was "Yeah,  I wanna get some ice cream at Uncle Donald's had a farm."  She also calls it Old MacDonald's had a farm.  I love it!

Lydia love hot chocolate.  She calls it Hot Choc-are-it.  (and she sort of breaks it up into the three words, I love it when she says it!
